Aloha and welcome

Aloha mai kākou,

I love my family. I love people. I love life. I love to read, write, work the ‘āina and dream. I also love music of all kinds. One of my favorite songs (there are many) is It’s just a little street where old friends meet by the Lennon Sisters. I hope our website will be that and more for you. “A little street where old friends meet…” but also where old friends meet new friends, old ideas meet new ideas, old worlds meet new worlds.

Welcome to our Pu`uhonua! May we work with aloha and harmony to “better conditions for the people of Hawai’i” and Mother Earth.

“Always with Aloha!”
Bob Lindsey

Looking Forward-5 Reasons why I want to be at OHA:  I want to continue my work on the OHA Board. The past fourteen months as a trustee has been a “warm up.”  I feel being able to serve a four year term will give me the opportunity “to put the pedal to the metal”.  I want to be a champion for Health.  The Health needs of our people are many and the resources are few.

I feel my life has been one of service for the past forty years from when I joined the court system in 1970 as a Social Worker (Probation Officer) through my work with Kamehameha Schools as Land Assets Director for Hawai’i Island in 2004.  Being an OHA Trustee is just another way to be of continuing service to our People in 2008.
